This camp has been temporarily postponed to avoid a clash with ROYAL AIR FORCE WADDINGTON INTERNATIONAL AIR SHOW. New date to be announced ASAP
Helen John will be at RAF Waddington setting up a permanent peace/protest camp on Saturday 30th June 2012, in response to the expected arrival of drone pilots who will ‘remotely pilot’ UK Reaper drones, from Waddington.
Since her preliminary visit to Waddington last September, Helen has been busy attending meetings with other anti drone campaigners and speaking to interested and concerned groups nationally and people in local city Lincoln.
She has decided now is the right time to establish a permanent presence at the airbase and is calling for fellow campers to join her and for all possible visits and support.
A bank account has been opened for the camp, details will be here shortly for anyone able to make a donation to help cover costs.
There is a current ‘wish list’ for anyone able to help with equipment. An immediate requirement is a 12volt battery with solar charger and inverter for phone charging.
Also needed is a small caravan – if anyone has one they could donate, please contact us!
It is now intended that Waddington Peace Camp will be a women’s camp, but hoped that men will visit the camp during the day. Much help and support is needed and asked for.
Helen can be contacted at camp on 07971675776, or Kate acting as camp ‘ground support’ is on 07748015601, email ktholcombe@aol.com

I hope you thank the RAF and all the Armed Forces present and those that have gone before them as they are the ones that allow(ed) you to be able to set up your Peace Camp. They gave or are willing to give their lives so that we live free in a democracy.
I don’t agree with your protest but that being said, I defend (and have) your right to free speech and protest.

Hopefully the fire brigade will take your caravan onto the training ground and set fire to it!! A much better purpose than what you are currently using it for! If you are so against what this country stands for move to Afgahnistan or Iraq, I bet they can’t wait for your arrival!! You might even be able to stowaway on an E3 Sentry, and when the wheels get lowered in your preferred country of choice you will see how hopeless the whole situation is, just as you fall to the ground. Go and protest about the injustice that exists at home first and put that right before you take the sides of foreigners, you might actually do some proper good!! If not there must be a law where the MOD can kill you anyway for trespassing!!
If you are so against what this country stands for move to Afgahnistan or Iraq,
So……if someone’s against armed drones or remote killing….in your pea sized brain they’re against what this country stands for? You can’t possibly be suggesting a person has to agree with everything their country does…….or be against everything it stands for – surely? Who are you, George Bush? LOL!
you will see how hopeless the whole situation is,
What situation – sorry, can’t make out what your rambling about?
Go and protest about the injustice that exists at home
Armed drone use does exist ‘at home’. Idiot.
If not there must be a law where the MOD can kill you anyway for trespassing!!
Must be a killing law for trespassing? Must there? Good grief. Sounds as though you’re the one living in the wrong country…..perhaps your type would be better suited elsewhere? For the record……not that you’ve got the required kit ‘upstairs’ to grasp the point….no-one is trespassing.
Hopefully the fire brigade will take your caravan onto the training ground and set fire to it!!
Perhaps if they don’t it can be shoved down to Moy Park and set fire to down there when its finished with…….just as a special treat for you?
Does anyone at Waitrose management know that one of their suppliers managers is advocating arson and even having a go at foreigners..Maybe anybody in the protest movement should avoid shopping at Waitrose while this state of affairs exists. Rhett the RAF do not mind this woman camping on their land. Even visiting to make sure she is ok. Why do you not agree with the RAF and their mature and liberal attitude. I do hope Waitrose do not share your views. Or do they encourage their suppliers to act in such a way in the wider community? I for one will boycot any shop or establishment carrying Moy park food. I hope others will do the same.
How so many grown men can be so scared of an old aged pensioner granny is so bloody funny.
